Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble with the Lightning Filter in Photoshop. We're here to help.

Could you please share the version of Photoshop (Help > About Photoshop) and the version of Windows on your computer?

What is your system specification, and is your graphics driver up-to-date? Would you mind sharing your workflow?

You can also check this to ensure the steps are correctly done; https://www.adobepress.com/articles/article.asp?p=1860949.

You can check the following option OpenGL, in Preferences> Performance, and your graphics processor should be enabled.

And see if that helps.

You can also check this discussion on our community: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/filter-rendering-lightning-effects/td....

This is also on the lightning effect. You might want to have a look: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/add-lighting-effects1.html.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks

Ranjisha
