keine Textebene möglich - Fehlermeldung!

Liebe Leute,

seit dem letzten Update kann ich im Photoshop keine Textebene mehr anlegen - es folgt die Meldung "Der Vorgang konnte nicht ausgeführt werden, weil ein Programmfehler aufgetreten ist."

Dies betrifft alle Dateien in denen noch KEINE Textebene enthalten ist. Nehme ich eine alte Datei in der schon eine Textebene vorhanden ist, kann ich auch eine neue anlegen. Nehme ich eine Textebene aus einer alten Datei und ziehe sie in die neue Datei, dann kann ich diese Textebene bearbeiten, aber noch immer keine neue anlegen....

Jemand eine Idee oder sogar den selben Fehler??

Hi

No issues here with the Type Tool with Photoshop version 23.2 on Windows 10

Try resetting the Tools

If that doesn't help try a preference reset

I have done your proposals and also deinstalled and reinstalled photoshop - no change!

I'm not able to make a new text layer....

Hi,

have done your proposals - the font test failed ALL fonts!!??

I can't belive.....

@etv99 Looks like Photoshop can not find any of the fonts installed on the system. Most likely it is the corrupted system font cache. Please follow the steps in the section "Delete the system font cache"

of the following document to reset the system font cache:

Hi,
this was one of the steps I have done before....two or three Posts above...

The thing is: when opening an old file with Text in it, I can edit it or
change the font without problems!
Also I can copy the text layer to the new file and can there do anything
with it!

ONLY creating a new text layer will cause this Error!

If you can change the font in an an existing document, it is not a Font or Text related issue. Have you updated the GPU drivers lately ? Can you disable GPU and try the operations again ?

Hi,

I have done no updates in the near past...

Now I tried to disable nvidia card in my notebook and go with the intel integrated gfx-card - no change, I'm not able to make a new text layer.

Then I updated the nvidia driver to the latest version (14.2.2022) and also no change - no textlayer possible....
