Keyboard zoom stops at 100% now

I'm quite used to use cmd+ and cmd- to zoom in and out.

Recently, Photoshop doesn't let me zoom more than 100% using this shortcut. I can zoom in more as usual with wheel, pen or trackpad, but cmd+ stops at 100. I looked for solution to no avail.

Please help.

Legit Photoshop 24 on MacOS Sonoma. TWO different Macs, same issue. Resetting prefs didn't help.

SOLUTION: even when Zoom to 100% is by default mapped to cmd+1, it did this with actually pressing cmd++. Even after prefs reset. CMD++ was NOT bound to Zoom to 100%.  Solved by removing Zoom to 100% binding altogether. Must be a bug.

Works fine here, I can zoom all the way with ctrl+.

What can happen occasionally, is that keyboard shortcuts get mixed up, and this seems to happen mostly on non-English keyboard layouts. I'm in that situation myself, and when that happens, I can usually kickstart everything back to normal operation with ctrl-alt-shift-K > Enter, which, yes, brings up the shortcuts dialog and dismisses it again.

It can also happen that other software hijacks shortcuts and changes them. GPU gaming utilities are known to do this. Finally, there are operating system shortcuts that can interfere, and OS language/region settings (which include keyboard mapping) that can be accidentally changed.

Yep, this is exactly it. It's basically the same bug Firefox has on Macos with Czech keyboard layout since day one and still unfixed as of 2025 - cmd+1 zooms in instead of switching to first tab.

I’ve noticed that Photoshop no longer allows zooming beyond 100% using the Cmd/Ctrl + + shortcut. While I can still zoom in further with the mouse wheel, pen, or trackpad, the keyboard shortcut abruptly stops at 100%.

I’ve searched for solutions but haven’t found a fix yet. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, were you able to resolve it?

To those suggesting fixes: I appreciate any advice—whether it’s resetting preferences, checking keyboard settings, or reinstalling drivers. However, Ive already tried most common suggestions (like Magis TV-related workarounds, though I’m unsure how they apply here). If there’s a specific setting or update I might’ve missed, I’d gladly test it.

Thanks in advance for any insights!
