Lags when trying to rotate or zoom canvas using wacom cintiq pro 13 with touch screen

I'm not sure where to start, but I am trying to rotate and zoom the canvas in Photoshop using two fingers and slowly moving in a circular motion, or pinching.

When I try to do this, Photoshop lags and/or freezes. It also lags/freeze when panning or using the hand tool.

These functions were working perfectly last night and this morning. Earlier this afternoon, I had to update the Cintiq (it would not let me use it otherwise). And now this problem is occurring. It does not happen in Illustrator, it zooms very smoothly.

Is there some preference I need to change in Photoshop?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi frankys17910013,

Sorry that your Wacom tablet is lagging

Couple of general troubleshooting steps that helps resolving issue like these:

Please check if there are any updates for your tablet drivers available on manufacturer's website

Disable Rulers in Photoshop from View> Rulers menu

Uncheck the option "use graphics processor" under the Preferences> Performance menu.

I checked our Photoshop lags, freezes, or runs slowly article and found the below suggestions that might help resolve the issue:

  • Follow the suggestions in Photoshop crashing due to libcef.dll.
  • Update to the latest version of your peripheral’s driver.
  • Try using Photoshop with a different peripheral unit.
  • Contact the manufacturer of your peripheral for additional support.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Akash
