Lasso tool Auto Select - Photoshop

I am trying to use my lasso tool as a free hand select, But after i updated my photoshop it only auto select. It will not select what i specifically drew around. Anyone know how to turn off the automatic select for the lasso tool? Thank you

That shouldn't be happening, could you please let us know the version of Photoshop you're working with?

That is not the lasso tool. The lasso tool is the one to the left. You have selected the Object Selection tool new to Photoshop 2020.

Are you sure you are not using the Magnetic Lasso tool - which will auto drop points as your draw around your object?

Check your lasso tool and make sure you are set on the correct version.

My drop down used to look like that until after the update. Refer to the photo i replied above this comment.
