Lasso tool change with today's update

Hi, I use the lasso tool constantly, and I noticed that a behavior changed today. Before, I could hold alt, or shift (to add or subtract from a selection), hold mouse down, then release shift or alt, then re-press and hold alt to select along a straight line. This functionality is super useful to me and now it is gone. is there a way to get it back?

I too am experiencing this issue, the holding down Shift and then pressing Alt to get straight line selection with the lasso tool was especially useful to me. Did you manage to figure out a solution, because right now it's driving me a little coo coo.

What exactly happens now when you use Shift / Alt - does it not do anything?

It still works for me. I have not updated my Photopshop to the latest version. What version are you using?

One thing you could try do is reset your preferences

Also, if I reset preferences won't I lose all my shortcuts and workspaces? I have never had a successful experience importing these things once my photoshop has reset.

From the prefs help page
"Adobe Photoshop Prefs file, including general display options, file-saving options, performance options, cursor options, transparency options, type options, and options for plug‑ins and scratch disks. Most of these options are set in the Preferences dialog box."

So, you will lose some things by resetting. Resetting does resolve issues when there is some currupted / damanged component to the prefs file. What shortcuts are you refering to?
