Lasso tool & Content aware fill problems with CC2019 Windows 10

New Here ,
Oct 15, 2018 Oct 15, 2018

If I select something with the lasso tool the marching ants do not appear, if I Ctrl+j the selected are jumps to a new layer but it remains invisible in the display. If I select something with the lasso then select another tool the marching ants appear.

The new content aware fill only becomes active if the marching ants are physically visible.

When launched the panel that fits in the middle of the content aware workspace will not load, giving an error.

After running the new content aware and return to the screen it does not appear to have done anything until a tool is clicked on in the toolbar and then the preview in the main window changes to show the results of the fill.

Hi Trevor,

We're sorry to hear about this, could you please check if there are any updates available for the GPU drivers from manufacturer's website?

Also, could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

Regards,
Sahil

Deselecting using the Graphics Processor worked for me, but I shouldn't have to put up with the degraded performance just to make basic tools work.

Along with the ridiculous reversing of the holding down shift to make things proportional, this is the worst Photoshop update since it became CC.
