I have a 30 frames long timeline. When I originally created it and tried to play it, Photoshop crashed. And now every time I try to open the timeline on that same file Photshop crashes. If I want to save it as a GIF it crashes. This was on a newish iMac that has 56 GB of Ram and plenty of space available.
So I downloaded Photoshop on my brand new M1 Mac Air, and the exact same thing happens, so clearly is not a problem with my iMac. I've tried resetting preferences but did nothing, and since I was easily able to replicate this problem on my new laptop, this point is mute.
This is a bug on latest Photoshop. A few months ago I was able to do this with similar size files with no problem.

Hi, sorry about that
I don’t have a solution, but maybe if you try to reset the preferences will work, here the instructions:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html
Another Option: You may try the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
To remove the existing app installation & reinstall once done.
There are a few issues with Photoshop that you can check here

Eugenio
