Latest update on Photoshop made my brushes disappear

Hi,

The latest Photoshop update has removed all the Kyle brushes without warning, and even loading Legacy brushes back in only brings back a few, and different ones that the ones I was using. Really need to solve this as I was mid-job and I need to match the rest of the work, please help!

If I go to Get More Brushes in the Brush menu in Photoshop, it first redirects me from the US page (I'm in the UK) then wants me to purchase Photoshop, but I already subscribe to CC (subscription is in date). I really have no idea why it would just do this right now.

Thanks!

Hi @Cat Finnie, I'm just checking in to see if the suggestion helped or if you are still running into this issue? Let us know how things are going. Happy to keep troubleshooting with you if needed. Thanks! ^CH

Hi @Cat Finnie, welcome to the community, and sorry to hear your brushes have gone missing!

When you get a chance, could you check this folder on your computer:
Users/[Your User Name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/[Your Photoshop Version]/Presets/Brushes
See if your brush files are still there. If you recently updated from an older version of Photoshop, it’s also worth checking folders like Photoshop 2024 or 2023 to see if the brushes are stored there instead of the 2025 folder.

Also, in the Creative Cloud app, make sure the “Import previous settings and preferences” option is checked under the advanced update settings, that will preserve your custom tools during updates.

Let me know what you find, and we’ll go from there!
