Launching Photoshop within Extendscript

Hi, 

This might be an embarrassingly simple question, but I'm currently trying to automate some process that requires me to restart photoshop at certain periods. 

I've successfully managed to close Photoshop 2020 using: 

photoshop.quit()

within my jsx script.

Is there an equivalent method to (re)-open Photoshop?

A Photoshop Script would need Photoshop to run so I think starting Photoshop would exceed that scope … have you looked into BridgeTalk?

Hi, 

Thanks for the response! I have looked at BridgeTalk, but can't seem to find out how to make it work...I've tried using the BridgeTalk.launch() method to relaunch photoshop after closing it, but it doesn't seem to work. 

Any guidance will be appreciated, as I'm really new in this area. Thank you!
