Lens Correction Filter locked up PS / crashed computer

I'm teaching PS today and my 3 students all crashed - 2 pcs and 1 mac using the Lens correction filter on a single layer smart object. I'm on a Mac and it's fine (Ventura). Other mac user is on Ventura with 32gb RAM. Weird that all 3 crashed and I didnt.

What do they have for GPUs?

The Mac person has a better computer than me -M1, 32gb RAM, I'm on a 2019 Macbok Pro with 32 gb RAM. One PC user is on a Virtual machine so that one doesn't count. Not sure about the other PC, but so far no other problems. Just really weird that they all crashed at the exact same time and and I didn't.
