Question

Library items disappear from library

I am having a recurring issue in different Adobe apps accessing my library items.

Currently, I'm experiencing it often in Photoshop. Some of my libraries/folders appear to have no assets in them. Or, only a couple. The folders still show up, but there's nothing in them. If I click/hover on the cloud icon, it claims everything is up to date.

When I check through the Creative app or online, the assets appear, but there's no way for me to quickly insert/link them into the file I'm working in.

Anyone have a solution for this? I am often finding myself unable to work on projects because my assets have disappeared or are inaccessible.

Exactly the same thing happening here. As a workaround I've found that making a change to the library, renaming it, moving or deleting an item seems to force a resync and everything magically reappears. Is there a way to stop this happening in the first place? Started with Illustrator about a month ago but now Photoshop is doing it too.

I ended up following the steps below and my libraries have been loading for the past week or so. It was a bit scary deleting my libraries folders because none of them showed up when I first logged in. It took a good hour for my libraries to sync again, but I imagine that time will vary depending on how big your library is.

Excerpt below is from: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-libraries-panel-doesn-t-load-in-desktop-products.html

Recreate the Libraries cache
Close all Creative Cloud applications.

Sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Navigate to the following folder.

macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/
Windows: C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe

Note:

macOS: The Library folder is hidden on the macOS. To reveal it, see Can't see user library files in Mac OS X 10.7 and later.
Windows: The AppData folder is hidden on the Windows OS. To reveal it, see Show hidden files and folders in Windows 10 and earlier.
Delete the Creative Cloud Libraries folder.

Log into your account in the Creative Cloud desktop app and relaunch the Creative Cloud app in which you received the Libraries error.
