lightning effects is grayed out cc 23

lightning effects is grayed out cc 23.
it is not a problem with graphic card since it worked un older version cs6.

tried to change al kind of  preferences but no change. 

other filters works ok.

Lighting Filter is part of the 3D features in Photoshop that require a compatible GPU. While the 3D features are transitioning away from Photoshop, Lighting Effect is one of the features that might not work anymore.

Lighting Filter is part of the 3D features in Photoshop that require a compatible GPU. While the 3D features are transitioning away from Photoshop, Lighting Effect is one of the features that might not work anymore.

this answer helps to restore some of the lightnung effects.

Some functionality in Photoshop, such as 3D and Lighting Effects, still relies on the older Open GL graphics functions. To make these work, an additional preference Preferences>Technology previews>Deactivate Native Canvas has been added. This can be checked and Photoshop restarted to restore 3D functions to where they were in 22.3
