Hello, no matter what I use or do to try to make my picture small enough for my LinkedIn profile it remains the same size. Yes, I have messed with the resample box, the pixel and image size. Yes, I have tried the 400 x 400 size, nope, makes no difference. Yes, I'm only interested in exporting as a PNG. Nothing works. Please help. Extremely frustrated. Thanks.

You didn't give details on what you use or try to do that doesn't matter, but LinkedIn suggests 400 x 400 pixels. See their help page for details and tips:

  • Are you looking at your image at 100% in Photoshop?
  • If you are not using a SO, are you choosing Undo after making a mistake and trying something else?

Hi Jane, as indicated in my post,'Yes, I have tried the 400 x 400 size.' My image is not locked either. Nothing that folks would traditionally assume would work, works. If you have any other suggestions I am all ears. Thanks.

Hi Jane, yes to both of your questions at the bottom of your post. Lastly, I know when my image resizing doesn't work, because I have to upload the image to LinkedIn, and each time I do so, it is the same exact size as before, period. Again, nothing I have done works. Still all ears on any other suggestions.
