Marching ants stay on the image

Since updating to 2017 when I make a selection, say to remove a sky, the marching ants remain static as part of the image.  Is this a bug or am I doing something differently??

Hi Chrisl,

Could you please go to Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings and see if Open GL is checked or not?
