Masking Photoshop 2023 doesn't work properly

I don't know when this happend. But my Photoshop 2023 masking not properly works.

Could the fact that your brush is set to "difference" instead of "normal" part of the problem?

Try to change it (top contextual menu) to normal and see if it works

Are you sure you use 2023 and not meet this problem?
