Roboto font (by Google) is installed on Windows 7 system, but the regular weight is missing in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign (both CS6 and CC, and same issue in Windows 8).
The font: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/roboto
All weights are installed properly, the only one not listed in adobe programs is Roboto-Regular.ttf

Just installed it from here: http://developer.android.com/design/style/typography.html and it shows in all three CS6 applications. Why don't you try reinstalling it.

Thanks, I tried it yesterday too, and it works. Strange thought, that Photoshop now named the regular weight as 'Black', but I don't have black weigth
(I uninstalled previous Roboto fonts, and after that installed the mentioned roboto-1.100141 from http://developer.android.com/design/style/typography.html)
I still don't know what is the issue here, but I can live without 'black' as now I haver regular. Thanks for the reply!

Roboto font have collision between regular & black weights.
Don't install "Black" and Regular will appear as "Black".

I fixed the Roboto 2014 fonts. They did indeed misbehave in desktop apps (Windows, OS X).
Enjoy!

This cache move makes Roboto Normal Italic available in every Adobe app but XD. The latter program just shows a totally wrong list of Roboto weights, even the ones I deleted. even after repeated re-boots and attempts.
