Missing split channel and spot channel in Photoshop

Where is the split channel and spot channel options? When you go into channels, and right click them, there should be options to split channels and spot channels, why are they currently missing? I am using the latest version of PS.

Where is the screenshot with which you illustrate your problem? 

What are the image’s Color Mode and bit depth? 

And might you be overlooking the Channels Panel’s pop-up menu?
