Hello everybody,
I am french, and i have bought a new PC.
Before i had an old PC with windows XP pro and now a new one with Windows 10.
So, i have reinstalled my licence of Photoshop CS1 with success and i have used it during 30 days (trial version)
I was satisfy of the good execution on this old licence on my new PC.
But now i need to enter an "autorisation code" and Adobe told me by phone that their servers are down.
Ok, but i have paid a lot for a permanent licence and not for another thing that they want to sell to me now...
So, does someone can help me with this autorisation code, because i already have reinstall this licence a few years ago,
Adobe send to me this code but i haven't write it on paper because i was not thinking that they will erase all their datas...
I think that at this moment of the shutting down of their servers, adobe must send us our personnal autorisation code before to erase them.
It's for me a forced sale that they want to do now with their monthly subscription products and i am really desapointed and hungry with these methods and situation.
I have take a picture of my Adobe Creative Suite standard product box, i have the original bill, my serial number and activation code in order to proove it too.
But really i would like that Adobe propose to me a solution or that someone help me to reinstall my software successfully if the autorisation code that i need is common with all CS1 reinstallation (i don't know if it is).
Thank you for your help.
I'm sorry to say CS1, CS2 and CS3 are all officially dead now. Even if you manage to install the software, there is no possible way to activate or register it beyond the 30 day trial period because those servers are long long and Adobe support cannot help you.

Adobe took down the activation servers for cs/cs2 products some time ago and subsequently offered non activation versions for download as replacements, but has since taken those down.
I believe your best option is to call adobe support, since no one here on the forums has access to any legacy creative suite downloads and see if you can get them to offer you an alternate course of action.

I already have contact the support service by the contact us option with any solution proposed to me...
On the other hand i have received these private messages from malicious people:
Hi,
You can Directly send Email to our Customer Care Team at Adobecare@outlook.com and they will help you via Email.
Team Adobe
You can Email and see if that helps
Hi,
We certainly help you to get issue resolved.
Kindly provide your Adobe Registered Email ID and the Password for Adobe.com
Currently you are using Windows 10 PC or Mac OS Mojave/Catalina?
Team Adobe
Of course i don't answer when they asked to me email ID and password, but i have answer to the first mail with personnal information, so Adobe don't protect their customers too because i have seen that this practice was not the first time that it happen...
Really what can we do for being safe with Adobe both in the use of our software that we paid for and in the protection of our personal datas ?????

CS3 activation servers were taken offline. You need to obtain a new installer and replacement serial number that does not require activation. You also need an older operating system to support outdated CS3 software.
Adobe removed the public links to that page. Contact Adobe customer care via online chat. Log-in below. Click the chat bot icon and type AGENT followed by Enter key.

Be sure to have your serial number available. Otherwise the agent can't help you.

That's news to me as well!! So sorry to hear that CS3 is officially dead. But I can't say I'm surprised as CS3 is very old software.
1. Get a 1 year subscription to the Creative Cloud Photography Plan for USD $10/month. It's the best Photoshop deal available.

2. Purchase Photoshop Elements 2020 (no subscription required).

Unfortunately, adobe support are the only people that can assist you. Users on theses forums are just volunteers or users such as yourself and have no access to any legacy adobe software downloads. You have to be persistent with adobe support.

Ok, i want to be persistant, but i am face to a wall with no issue and no one understanding people from Adobe.
What do you think about my situation ?
I have paid more than 1700€ for Adobe CS and 1300€ for Studio MX too, 3000€ for what now ??
Do you have a phone number that i can use for contact them ?

I think you have unreasonable expectations for 16 year old software. To expect it to even run in Windows 10, and to expect Adobe will help you with it. But that's just my opinion, I'm sure yours is different. You have, however, had Adobe tell you their official position.

I had to look at the date of your post to make sure I am not in a time warp :-).
20 year old software is not compatible with the latest computers and operating systems. CS1 is officially dead. Sorry. I think it's time to budget for new software. I suggest the Photography Plan for USD $10/month for 12 months or $120 prepaid. It's the most affordable plan Adobe offers.

I have used my CS1 on windows 10 during 30 days without any problem, all work perfectly.
And when i bough this product, it was a permanent licence without limitation of time, nothing about that in the conditions.
So, this product is perfect for my use, i don't need all the last technologies.
You know if i want the sames products now it will be really expensive (photoshop illustrator indesign and dreamweaver) each months...
I know very well why Adobe react like that with me. If they don't proposed to me a solution i will contact fraud reps and use my personnal legal defence for attempted forced sale, illegal software deactivation and other illegal business practice

Truth is sometimes difficult to accept. I'm very sorry for you and your predicament. But you never had a permanent license. Nobody did. And there is no law anywhere that prevents software makers like Adobe from discontinuing their aged product lines. You chose to keep using the unsupported software at your own risk.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Creative_Suite#Creative_Suite_1_and_2
Be grateful you were able to keep using CS1 for as long as you did. Support for it ended shortly after CS2 came out in 2005. And in all that time, you never upgraded. If you had upgraded to CS4, CS5 or CS6 when you had the chance, your software would still work for a few more years. But you didn't so you must accept some responsibility for your current situation.
If you can't afford a Creative Cloud Plan, look at lower priced substitutes like QuarkXpress, Inkscape, Adobe Brackets, Pinegrow, Affinity Photo and Gimp.
Incidentally, I don't work for Adobe. I'm a long-time product user just like you. I wish you the best of luck, I really do.

I'm faced with the same problem.
CS2 served me well over the years, with all I actually needed.
It is a real shame Adobe is not providing a solution to get round this activation issue.
Conclutson, delte it and switch to Linux products 😞

These sorts of abuse of paying customers will continue, so long as all political parties accede to absurd extensions to copyright and intellectual-property legislation.
I used CS1 on Win XP years after both the program and OS were considered "no longer supported." Not much tech support is useful anyhow. Mostly you're steered into a forum or chat: whatever is least costly to the software developers.
Only graphics professionals—and extremely-wealthy people—would opt for Creative Cloud. Photoshop has a much larger market. (Photoshop Elements is barely more useful than many freeware alternatives.) The result: people will hack/steal whichever version of Photoshop they wish to use. Adobe continues to be unaware...or pretends to take such a stance, because their primary interest is in the market which can afford—as a business expense, or the deep pockets of a handful of individuals—software which costs more than $1,500.

Where do you get those numbers from?

Which software is it that costs "more than $1500"? Creative Cloud doesn't even have a cost price, it's a subscription service. And Photoshop can be had for $10 per month. Whether you have to be "extremely weathy" to afford $10 per month - less than drinking one Starbucks each week in most of the USA - probably depends where in the world you live.
I love the idea that this is somehow linked to copyright extension, which is pushing copyright terms towards 100 years. Most software hasn't yet reached 20 years, has it?
I don't think shutting down activation servers was a good thing, but the writing was on the wall the moment they were introduced - everyone implicitly accepts a time limit on their software.

Lets be honest here. Most of us are not concerned with receiving updates or support for these older CS versions, which by the way should still be usable. I have purchased several over the many years. This is not about at all about ending support. In my opinion, it is absolutely about stopping you from using the older versions in order to push sales of new versions. What they are missing, like myself as I am now retired, I just want to use my versions (which I paid handsomely for) for myself to enjoy.
Very cheeezy of a company I respected for over 20 years. Shame on you Adobe.
