I continue to have problems creating panoramas. When I create one, there are obvious boundaries between the photos that I selected to merge. I have to open an image, then another, which has them in different windows for some reason. I want them both in the same window for merging. Then I go to File, Scripts, Statistics, and select images from the directory using Browse. The images merge, but there are brightness differences that create obvious boundaries between the two merged images. I need to select each image in the panorama and adjust each image so that there is no obvious boundary. How do I do that, and be able to also adjust other parameters for each of the merged images if necessary, like color saturation, contrast, etc.? Also, why can't I just create a blank document with no images open and go to File, Scripts, Statistics, and browse the images I want to merge? Lastly, why is the panorama function under Scripts and Statistics? Why not File, Panorama?
Hi John,
There are a few ways to do this that are much easier.
1.) Out of Bridge you can select all the images in your pano choose Tools / Photoshop / Photomerge/ and choose your options in the next dialog to remove vignetting a how you want PS to handle the asembly.
Or you can open all of the image in PS and choose File / Automate Photomerge to get the same results but take much longer to do.
Or you can open all the files in Camera Raw and do the Merge there, which sometimes can provide better resu

I have to open an image, then another, which has them in different windows for some reason.
The reason being that you opened two (or more) images so obviously they are displayed in two (or more) windows.
If you want to import multiple images you can use File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack
What do Statistics have to do with panoramas?
Have you tried File > Automate > Photomerge yet?

Hi JohnJohnson2010,
Well, I think your concern is more towards the accessibility of Panorama function from different places rather than it giving you a problem.
I'd recommend that you please share this as a feedback on our Photoshop feedback community, which is managed by our Engineering team: Photoshop | Photoshop Family Customer Community
Please add some details like version of Photoshop you're using and system specification for more clarity.
Thanks,
Akash

Your description seems somewhat strange to me, maybe you could post a couple of screenshots (including the pertinent dialog windows and Panels) to clarify exactly what you are doing and how the results fall short of your expectations?

I used File, Automate, Photomerge, and that worked fine. Thank you.
