New Move Tool is a NIGHTMARE

Is there a way to change the move tool to behave like it used to in Photoshop?

It now only moves things if you've directly clicked on them, doesn't move an entire group unless you're holding down SHIFT, and then expands the group. It's an absolute pain in the butt with these changes. I want to be able to use the move tool anywhere on the canvas to move the items I have selected and w/o the aforementioned changes.

The move tool has not changed.

Have you changed these options in the option bar, in particular auto-select?

Ah, I feel like I should have realized this but it was such a shock that the default changed on me when I updated Photoshop (which was long overdue).

I'll mess around with the settings to see what's up. Thank you!

Ho bro,

Nothing is changed. Just check the settings. Its the old nice move tool.
