NIK filters do not work in PS v24.0

Hi, I have successfully copied the NIK filters to the PS plugins folder, they show up in the filters menu and the NIK menu opens and works as usual. However, once I hit OK, the screen changes back to PS, the thumbnail for the active level flickers shortly, but nothing happens. Can anybody help? Best, Peter

Do you know what version of the Nik filters you're running? 

I would probably start with uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-ins similar to this thread: https://feedback.dxo.com/t/5-2-1-nik-update-does-not-work-with-new-photoshop/29087

Reinstalling didn't help. I'm using the last free Nik version from 2016. When opening PS, a message "At least one plugin is currently not available" (in German) and reference is made to the system information, but I can't find any relevant element there.
