No black dot in the red circle top left of my window, AND when I hover over layers blue box appears

Hi! I'm not sure if this is because my Photoshop automatically updated to 25.7.0 but when I've made changes to this file the black dot does not appear in the red circle to tell me I have unsaved changes. Also, when I hover over the layers in the layers window, a blue outline appears on the doc over that layer (which is really annoying). Does anyone know about either of those issues and how to disable them? Thanks in advance! I'm on a Mac.

The first issue about the unsaved changes has been reported here on the forums a couple of times.

Still waiting on a fix from Adobe.

The second issue concerning the blue outline is new feature "Hover Layer Bounds" as decribed here along with how to turn it off:
