After using the brush in S&M for hours, it got erratic. So thinking that I had done something wrong, I shut PS, rebooted and reopened. No brush function. Brush does work with paintbrush tool in regular workspace.
I tried pressing Alt and cancel in SM to reset--no help.
I'm using 26.1--updated yesterday. Windows 11 on a Dell XPs 16.
Hi @lanecito!
Thanks for sending the screenshot! Could you try unchecking the Show Original box in the top right corner? That might cause the app to display the original, unedited picture instead of the one you’ve modified.
I notice in the System Info you shared that you are using 2 GPUs. If the first option doesn't work, can you try following the steps in this article to set up the best performance possible for your GPU? Head here for the steps you can follow: https://adobe.ly/3CBnXK1

Hey @lanecito!
Thanks for reaching out! I've been trying to reproduce the issue you mentioned, but I haven’t had any luck so far. Could you share a screenshot or a quick video that shows what you’re seeing? That would really help us troubleshoot this together.
I also noticed you sent a Google Drive link with your System Info—thank you for that! Unfortunately, I need access to open it. Would you mind attaching it here or changing the settings, so it’s available for public viewing?
Feel free to tag me with an @ so I can follow up with you on this. Thanks!

Many thanks Alek. Unchecking the "Show Original" box did the trick, although it worked fine in the past.
I also tweaked the gpu settings.
