Objects keep moving after being placed

Hello all,

I've been attempting to move a number of grouped layers of objects to align them with text. I would provide a screenshot but I am at work and have no access to my laptop. To put it simply, I am able to move the grouped layers exactly where I want them to be, with the pink guides showing me that the layers align with the nearby text, but when I let go of my mouse to place the objects, they all move out of place to the left. I don't want to have to move them all individually when I am supposed to be able to just place them as a group.

I appreciate any help with how to get this to stop!
