ONLY when working with video timeline, shortcuts don't work until switching to other app & back

Hello there!
I have that weird behavior in Photoshop (since several versions already, honestly don't remember when I first noticed) that ONLY when working with the video timeline, very often ALL keyboard shortcuts won't work until I switch to another app or finder and then back.

It's kinda annoying because I have set up shortcuts for e.g. "Render video" or "Split at playhead" for faster production flow. Or any shortcut for that matter like an effect or adjustment won't work until I switch out/in of Photoshop.

In regular image editing not involving the timeline, shortcuts work flawlessly...
Does anyone know this issue and/or may have a solution perhaps?

Hey, @dafleXXX1969. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.

Before troubleshooting, update Photoshop to the latest version (v25.5.1) via the Creative Cloud desktop app & check if the issue exists. 

Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts & export your current keyboard shortcuts as a preset outside of Photoshop; detailed steps here: https://adobe.ly/49CVvD3

Try these steps: 

Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to back up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)
macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.

Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2024 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2024.old)

This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.

I will try this in the coming weeks, at the moment I have too much on my plate and don't want to unnessesarily interfere with my workflow.
