Open edit save DDS files

Trying to open some game textures that are in DDS format to edit and save back to DDS in the game texture folder. Is there an official DDS plugin? If not is there a 3rd party plugin capable of opening and saving back to DDS when done editing? Running Windows 11. Thank You.

There are various plug-ins floating around the web, but they all seem kinda outdated (except the NVIDIA one, which I would recommend to use):

• https://gametechdev.github.io/Intel-Texture-Works-Plugin (do not use - it's no longer maintained by Intel and development has ceased)
• https://fnordware.blogspot.com/2014/09/dds-plug-in-for-after-effects-and.html
• https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-exporter (you will need a free NVIDIA account for downloading)

GIMP can load and save .dds files natively, so you may want to check that out.
