I'm on a Mac Pro, and right now I'm using a Nvidia Quadro 4000 GPU (made in 2010) that works fine-I thought-with Mojave. But I just had problems in Photoshop that seem to be related to the GPU. If I try to use the Rotating Hand tool in the tool pallet, I get a No Parking circle and a note telling me that the document is not Open GL-enabled. Is that likely to be a GPU issue, or is there some other possibility? I checked the System Information list for the Quadro 4000, and there's no mention of open GL either way. I know that relations between Apple and Nvidia are not at their best, now that Mojave has taken root, so installing a new driver is a non-starter. Is there any way to update the firmware of the card?

As Test Screen Name says. The driver is integrated into the OS, and updates are part of operating system updates.

Hi Birck,
Sorry that you're facing issues using the rotating hand tool in Photoshop on your MacBook pro.
Please take a look at this article Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues to troubleshoot the OpenGl issue.
If that doesn't help, restore Photoshop app preferences to default and let us know if the issue still persists?
Please refer this article for instructions on how to restore Photoshop preferences:
Thanks,
Akash

May be worth noting, in case this is unclear, that video drivers for Mac are made (or at least, made available) by Apple, and always have been. There was never any possibility of getting a new driver from NVidia. Video drivers generally come from Apple as macOS updates, and if Apple decide to kill something, it's dead before the ink is dry.

Test Screen Name: Yeah, I get the picture. It's unfortunate, since it effectively limits the supply of GPUs to those produced by one vendor-Radeon. Some Nvidia cards will work with Mojave, according to Apple, which is the same as saying that most of them won't. In fact, there are Nvidia models not on Apple's list of acceptable cards, but which will work with Mojave, regardless of Metal, and without an Nvidia driver (obviously, since there isn't one for Mojave), but this situation knocks Nvidia out of the Mac market, at least for the time being.
