Optimizing image

Engaged ,
Dec 02, 2021 Dec 02, 2021

how can i make this image a better quality and more cleaner, sharper, and better contrast.

I want to take the logo out of this scanned image and then enlarge it.

I will then print it out and trace it with a pencil.

Thereafter i will scan and use illustrator to turn it into a vector logo.

need it as sharp as possible to enable to trace more precisely.

Not an easy task.

I would first go to black and white

Then I will play with black and white points to get rid of grey staints

Then I would try to use filters in order to get more regular lines (i.E. sumi-e)

After that you can try to vectorize in Illustrator and simplify the path.

But at that point it is way much easier to get the pen tool and trace the logo the way you want it… inn Photoshop as well in Illustrator

😉

@Summayah5FC7 If you are going to print it out and trace it by hand, you could cut out the tree and replace the outline with solid black (as I've done quickly in the attached file). You could even straighten the lines with a brush tool if you wanted crisper lines.

I would probably just recreate it from scratch. I used to work for a business printer and often we got print jobs that we just recreated rather than trying to fix because it was quicker.

Probably not something we should be recommending but I tried Gemini 3.0 on a stock image covered with watermark text recently.  I did a Select All, and used the prompt 'remove all text from the image'.  The result was flawless.
