guys can somebody help me this is driving me crazy if i used the paint bucket to change color it works but then if I want to change the color again no matter what color I choose once I use the paint bucket it goes black.any help i can not finish what i'm doing because it always turns it black after that im not able to change color.
First, save the file, close and restart Photoshop. If that doesn't correct the problem, with the Paint Bucket chosen, reset the Paint Bucket tool by right-clicking on the Paint Bucket symbol in the top left of the Options Bar and choosing Reset Tool. If the problem remains, post a full screen shot. Be sure the Image, the Layers and Channels panels, and Options bar are clearly displayed.

Good. If, after looking at the image you post, the cause of the malfunction is not apparent, it may be time to try resetting Preferences.

I created the project again now after only using the paint tool two times i encounter the same problem. So far resetting the bucket tool is working fine. Let see if this fix fixed it forever. Also why would this happen?

I don't know. But be comforted by the thought that it was probably not your fault, and move on. Good luck!
