Hi there. I'm trying to paste an image (A) into the mask layer on another image (B).
I first create a mask on image B. I then alt+click on that mask to view it. I select Edit > Paste in Place. Nothing happens. The image remains blank. Any idea why this might be happening? How can I fix the issue? Photoshop is updated and everything else seems to work fine.
Thanks!

Are the two images the same size?

Approximately, yeah. Do they have to be the exact same size?

No, they don't, but when pasting in place, I'm not sure how that will work with different sized images. It worked for me. Have you tried resetting your preferences? can you post some screen shots?

This is gonna sound weird, but when I went to take the screenshots, I ended up pasting the first screenshot into the mask successfully (not realizing I had even copied it haha). I guess it's working fine, it must be an issue with the other image somehow. I'll play around. Thanks!

Just a foolish question, but did you copy the original first?

Made the original first after selection the image!
Than in this case crated an adjustment and then copied the mask!!!

Are you copying one mask into the other?
If you do you do not have to reveal it: Simply Alt/Option click to copy the mask. You will see the dialogue box alerting you to replace a mask. Click ok.
I only reveal when I want to see the mask or paste an image into it!

There are two useful commands to copy content: Copy and Copy Merged which will copy entire composition or flattened version of your file. When using Copy it will copy only content on selected layer, perhaps that is the problem?
