I can't figure out why Pattern Preview mode does not work for me. I have the latest version of PS CC and when I select Pattern Preview, I first get a window that says the preview is only visible in OpenGl enabled document windows. There was a tutorial online on how to change settings in the NVIDIA panel to enable this, but my panel does not look the same as the tutorial, so that was a no-go.
If I just click OK, to keep going with Pattern Preview mode, I get another window that says Pattern Preview works best with smart objects. I tried changing everything to smart objects, but Pattern Preview still does not work (it does not show any repeating objects). None of the suggestions on this support site have helped me. ????
Actually, I found the fix on a page with a list of known issues with Photoshop and Mac OS Ventura. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-and-macos-ventura.html#monterey-known-issues
The fix is to go into Settings > Technology Previews and uncheck "Deactivate Native Canvas"

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I'll need more information to help you with this.
Could you please share the system info of Photoshop from Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload to Creative Cloud files (https://assets.adobe.com/files) and share with us?
Pattern Preview is a GPU-dependent feature. Please go to Edit > Preferences > Performance > check 'Use Graphics Processor' & restart Photoshop.
If you face any trouble with enabling the GPU, follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot the integration between the GPU & Photoshop: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html
Let me know how it goes,
Thanks!

Hi there,
I'm having the exact same issue and have updated to the latest Mac ios aswell as version of photoshop CC...
Very frustrating to not be able to use pattern preview.
I've uploaded my photoshop system info here:
https://shared-assets.adobe.com/link/f9102f16-2673-4bfd-5aca-c3ce03d86ff7
I did GPU compatibility check and it says all should be compatible, and I have "use graphics processor" checked in performance settings.
Please help! thanks:)

I am having the same problem. I just downloaded the latest version and now suddenly the pattern preview doesn't show. I need this for my job. It was working perfectly and the only change is the new version.

I had the same problem and someone helped me in the firefly discord. There is an Nvidia update and once I installed it I got the pattern preview back. Not sure if that's your problem but worth the try. I hope it works for you.
