In earlier versions of PS I was able to make a self-advancing .pdf presentation - not happening now!  It gets created but only first page opens, advancing has to be done manually...Am I missing a setting somewhere along the line?

Thanks,

SG

How are you opening the pdf? For example when opening in photoshop, only the first page loads. But in acrobat, it plays a presentation. If you are using the free acrobat version, have you tried reinstalling acrobat?

I have not saved a PDF presentation in years.  However I see the PDF presentation options to advance the images in the Automate PDF presentation dialog. Are they missing in yours or do they not work?  CC 2018 version 19.1.5 the latest version...

Hi JJ -

Thanks for the quick comeback, but therein lies the rub...Those options are certainly available and are selected, but alas, to no avail...Leaves me to wonder what am I missing???

(I find these presentations a great way to show off work to clients.  Know I could go to a slide show in Lightroom, but this has always been a quick and easy method.  Before...

Are you opening them in full screen mode or with Acrobat visible?
I've just done some quick tests, it doesn't auto-advance unless I choose to view in full screen mode.

They can be viewed in Full Screen or within the Acrobat app where all the tools and menus are visible.
Inside the app there won't be any auto scrolling. This only happens in Full Screen mode.

So my thoughts were eliminate this possibility then look further into why it may not be working for Steve.

In my quick test I went straight to the screen you showed above. Browsed to add files then selected Presentation, no additional steps were required.

I don't see anything in Preferences which may need to be un/checked in order to have this working.

Ah so!  Turns out that I had just cleaned and reformatted my laptop, and also built a new desktop - and had forgotten about Acrobat (reader)!!  Since I was able to open and read other .pdf's that were simple text docs I never thought twice about it.  Installing the reader made all the difference!  Thanks much!  And also to Sjaani and JJMack for their contributions!
