Hi all,

I am using a 2011 Macbook pro High Sierra.

I am cutting out a model from an image using the pen tool. I Need to add to the selection so clicked on path, renamed the path and then started adding to the selection to cut out two more parts. Now I used the path selection tool to select all the paths, right clicked and make selection. The problem I am having is when I do that, the two added paths don't get added to the original selection, as you can see in the screen shots.  Can anyone help with this please?  TIA

If you want Paths enclosed by other Paths to »punch out« then that’s obviously the wrong Path Operation.

Try »Exclude …«.

Please select the individual subPathElements and check their Path Operations in the Options Bar.

The names of the Path Operations should be pretty clear and they can be changed after the indicidual paths have been created; if not please post a jpg with the Path (you can fill it with white if the image itself is confidential).

Thank you mate. I thought combine would mean it would combine all paths into one.

Thanks again mate
