Pen tool and path-options

In order to create a path with the pen-tool in the last photoshop version 22.3, the path-options (“pad-opties”) button   is not activated and can’t be used. Does somebody have a solution for this problem?

Is »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) checked?
