Hi.
After my fresh install i can not use Photoshop any more.
After i start Photoshop i get instant crash and blue screen
Here is my report:
The program Photoshop.exe version 18.1.2.29870 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

All other apps and feature are working well just PSP and AE kill it every time i try to use them.
Seems that i\m now on to something.
Dual GPU was not it and it was more user error, in Bios OC options it was not limited to dedicated cpu speeds and it tended to go
way over cpu could handle even tho some apps were stable. Seems like AE or other spiked cpu a bit in starting phase and then killing it.
For now everything Adobe related seems stable.
Thanks for thinking with me here.

As per Mr.Cox’ comment over at
Re: Photoshop CC freezes PC - HARD restart needed
you seem to be looking at a problem outside of Photoshop even if Photoshop may be the only application you are using that makes the demands on your OS and hardware to reveal it.

Absolutely everything else works very solid and system is very solid even working with high demands apps on cpu or gpu.
Fresh install on Win and fresh install on Creative Cloud apps.

An application like Photoshop should not be able to crash a modern OS – if it seems to be doing just that the problem would not be Photoshop but another faulty component.
And by that I am not claiming Photoshop does not have bugs, it’s just that Photoshop’s bugs lack that reach.

So how could i diagnose that?

Fresh install of Windows or Photoshop?
If all other applications except AE and Photoshop are working I would start with the GPU. Have uou installed the latest drivers from the GPU manufacturer (not as provided by Windows)?
You are using CC2017 - have you tried CC2018? 19.1.0 is the current version.

Hi.
I have the latest driver for my Gpu (v 390.77 Nvidia)
I saw after posting that my error report was on CC2017 sorry for that.
The one that gives me blue screen is actually CC2018
Can i somehow give better understanding of my config ?
CPU is i9-7940x 14c
Mobo Asus WS X299 Pro/se
120 gb ram
2 x Titan Pascal
Os on M.2

That is likely to be the issue. Photoshop is known to have issues with multiple GPUs. Recommendation is one GPU
See section 7 & 8 here:

I can not really have 1 gpu because Premiere or Resolve.
Also i can not change any settings on 2018 as it crashes every time i start it.

The GPU settings in the link are set in the NVidia driver software not in Photoshop

Now i have tested some more 2018 apps:
Premiere, Photoshop, AE, Audition all do the same thing.
I would imagine Audition is not using GPU like others?

Hi margus.voll,
Thanks for providing all the details in your issue description. Could you please update to the latest version of Photoshop 19.1 from the Creative Cloud desktop app? See Keep Adobe Photoshop up to date
Also, check for your graphics card drivers update on the manufacturer's website. Refer this documentation for other troubleshooting steps Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) card FAQ
Thanks,

Hi.
I did both but no luck just yet.
I will take out one gpu today and just leave one to see if that helps.
I will keep you posted.

Also i saw that my last update is somehow stuck and does not finish.

Look at the list of installed updates.

I just took out second gpu and did not make any difference.
Here is screenshot what i see on update list:

It is not clear, but looking at this it doesn't seem that KB4056892 is the offending Update. I asked because on one of my machines this Update kept cycling and trying to install unsuccessfully, and in the end I only solved the problem by reinstalling W10. After this it installed normally. I don't want to lead you down the wrong road, your problem may be quite different, but there are long threads on KB4056892 - it failed to install on some machines and stopped other machines booting.

I removed now all Creative Cloud apps and Cloud itself to see it new install makes any difference.
If not then i will make fresh test install of win on separate drive to see if that will help at all.

So after fresh install and win all updated i got it working at first having just one gpu in and machine without any OC.
So after i installed second GPU back all hell broke loose again.
DIsabling from Nvidia control pnel did not help.
Now i managed disable use gpu from preferences and photoshop seems stable for now. AE still kills it.
My conclusion for now is from things that are bad:
1. Dual GPU
2. OC
3. software or drivers
I'm not sure if or how much Photoshop or other Adobe tools are effected from C++ setups as some software seems to adjust it or update.
Going single GPU is also out of question as my Resolve jobs need dual GPU if i do not upgrade to Titan V but for now it seems to have problems of it's own.,
Any ideas or comments?
