Hi there,

When I open photoshop it freezes on a black screen and nothing happens. I have tried the Control, Option, Shift shortcut. I have un installed and re installed, rebooted my computer with no avail. Whatever I try I just can't get into photoshop! Can anyone provide support?

Thanks Claire

Hi Claire,

We are sorry about the experience with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the macOS version you are using on the computer along with its configuration?

You can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

If you are not able to reset the preferences using the steps mentioned in the link, backup the preferences and uninstall Photoshop using the Creative Cloud desktop app and selest the option to Remove preferences before re-installing it.

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj

Hi Nikunj,

I have tried that. The shortcuts dont do anything they just take me to the frozen black screen with a spinning blue wheel.

I also un installed and re installed. It is still not opening at all!!

Any other ideas?

What is the macOS version you are using on the machine? Would you mind attaching a screenshot of the interface with the original post?
