Photoshop 2020 - Rendering Type

Hello,

 

Since I updated to photoshop 2020 on my Macbook Pro (10.14.6, 2017, 16GB RAM) I cannot use the type function at all... It just hangs everytime I try to add a text layer. Any ideas?

Try reseting your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences.
