Photoshop 23.0.1 is constantly crashing and stuck on spinning wheel (macOS Big Sue 11.6.1)

I have a very similar issue, startup is fine but working in a file especially with selection tool but also any other resource-heavy tool will cause PS to freeze. It unfreezes on saving. My coworker has the same issue, we work on completely different setups, so it's not a machine issue. Has anyone figured out which earlier version was more stable? If I remember correctly older versions hat selection tool issues? 

I was hoping to find a fix on this. 

There seems to be none other than to go back to previous versions of the App. 

I am experiencing similar issues on Windows 10.

Photoshop will just randomly hang up when using the program, it seems to happen more often when using tools like Text or Shapes, nothing fancy.

I can go into the Task Manager and it will show Photoshop as "Not Responding" and it will sit there indefinitely until I have to force kill the process and of course losing all my work.

What is the correct process for obtaining crash logs?

I am having these same issuses (if I work very slowly it doesnt freeze/crash) but as soon as I try to work at my normal pace the spinning rainbow appears and I need to save the file I am working on and reopen.  SO overall this having a huge impact on my workflow (as well as very fustrating).  Adobe please can you advise?

@MKHurder That suggestion was for @ricW+K because he has some suspect plug-ins.  I'm not sure what you're seeing. Your system info might help me figure out what you're seeing. It might be best to start your own thread rather than conflate with the issue reported on this thread.

@ricW+K If you hold down the shift key and click Yes when it asks to skip loading 3rd party plug-ins does it load faster without issues?

There's not a good way to submit them after the fact. If you hit it again, please submit them with your email entered in the Crash Reporter dialog.

If you're freezing and seeing the rainbow wheel get a sample process using Activity Monitor: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/how-to-get-a-process-sample-or-spindump.html 

Additionally - It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

The other general thing to try and narrow down the issue: Restore your preferences using this manual method. Does it work correctly?

Jeffrey, Thank you for that info. and replying to this thread.

I have submitted some of the reports but there were so many yesterday that I did ignore most of them. I just searched for the reports to resend them, but because I uninstalled and reinstalled the app yesterday, it seems like it removed all the crash reports. If you know of a way I can retrieve them please let me know and I will gladly resend. My photoshop takes a very long time to quit, I get the spinning wheel for about 3-5 mins after I select quit. The same with saving large files, the process bar goes immediately to 99% then I get the spinning wheel for a few minutes before it finally closes the saved files. Simple task in PS is very slow, Even the new Neural filters are slow. Thanks in advance for all your help and let me know if you my contact
