Photoshop 23.2.1 crashing to desktop when trying to print on Windows 11 Pro

Photoshop 23.2.1 (PC/Win11 Pro) is consistently crashing to desktop when I try to print any file sized 8.5x11". The crash report window says there's a solution for this problem. When I click on the link it takes me to a troubleshooting page but the only solution provided is to run the check for the GPU compatibility, which it passes. Removing GPU support under preferences makes no difference.

I had an older version which crashed intermittently which ironically was the reason I upgraded only for it now to happen 100% of the time. I attempted to work around this by changing file format (.jpg, .psd) but that's not helping. Attaching screenshot of performance prefs.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Have you tried to re-install the printer drivers to check if that makes a difference? If not, please try that to check if it helps.

You can also try pressing & holding the Spacebar while selecting the option to Print from the File menu. This should reset the print settings.

Simple reset: hold the space bar when you open the print window. It resets the print dialogs

if that doesn’t help -

Perhaps try resetting Photoshop preferences?

Resetting restores Photoshop's internal preferences, which are saved when Photoshop closes. If they become corrupt then various issues can occur.

You may want to backup your settings and your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences.

It may even be time to reinstall Photoshop.

Its recommended that you use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.

Uninstall Photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.

Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.
