Photoshop 23.5 High CPU usage

Just noticed that Photoshop version 23.5 the CPU usage is very high with just doing simple task, just one image opened and making levels adjustment and the CPU is @ 95.2 % also notice the difference in memory usage, 4GB of RAM for 2022

Doing the same task with the same image in version 22.5.9 and it's only using 7.2 % and only 1.5GB of RAM for 2021

Are you still getting the same CPU usage after Shutting down your PC ( not restarting ) ?

Hi @Ged_Traynor It is different with 23.5. I have one image open with 16 processes. Why does CC Helper always have a duplicate?

I'm not seeing that here Ged. One image and tweaking levels just shows 3.9% CPU max.

Have you got any syncing going on in the background (e.g libraries or presets)

Testing on Win 11 using latest 23.5.0 Photoshop and everything works fine.

I unistalled 2022 and didn't keep the preferences, reinstalled 2022 and it seems to working OK now, CPU and RAM usage back to normal 🙂
