Photoshop 25.7 - Edit Images from Lightroom Classic Fail to Open

Updated to 25.7 from 25.6 yesterday afternoon after I had finished working. This morning attempted to start working. However, images will NOT open in Photoshop after CMD E > Edit a Copy with LR Adjustments. Tried several times. Shut down programs. Rebooted Mac Studio. Images will open when Edit Original is selected. Uninstalled and went back to 25.6 ... working again.

Simply don't understand how basic/fundamental functionality seems to break in every other update and goes unnoticed before release. I can't even keep track of all the bugs I experience on a minute-by-minute basis anymore ... spanning several releases over the past year or so. I don't even bother to report anymore because it's obviously not worth my time to do so ... as they don't get fixed. Just a little annoyed over here. Long-time user that just wants the basic workflows to work like they used to.

I have the same problem since the update to 25.7. When I try to open several files (e.g. 5) from Lightroom Classic in Photoshop, it does not work. A single file works. This is quite annoying as I always have to edit many files.
Also with me, after I went back to Photoshop 25.6, the problem was solved.

I am having the same difficulty on PC and Mac. This is unsatisfactory. Adobe needs a better QA department.

Hey, @jasander77, @DJRaymond211, & @henningmet. We'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share the info for all & any devices impacted by this behavior. Include the following details:
1 - The system info from Photoshop & Lightroom Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.
2 - Share a few sample images. Where do you keep the original photos? On internal or external drives?

3 - Record a video of the workflow.

Awaiting to hear from you. Thanks!

Sameer K

I no longer have the version in question installed. Reverted back to 13.2 after making this post ... immediately worked fine after doing so and still using. I have not tried the newly released 25.9 just yet. I've become very hesistant to update the past few years. I generally skip several versions when new features are released because fundamental functionality is typically broken and i have grown very impatient to those occurrences.

I have included the system info as requested. I am unable to create a video because i no longer have the affected version installed. Images are always located on the internal SSD. Catalog is relatively small. Completed jobs are archived weekly to stand-alone catalogs on archival media. There's really nothing more to say about my normal work flow. When I'm ready to edit > Switch to Library Module > Grid View (primary screen) > select image(s) > CTRL+E. If working with JPEG the dialog window opens and I select Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments > Image(s) open in PS. RAW files automatically open in PS. When this post was made nothing would open in PS except when I selected Original when working with JPEGs. I recall this happening in at least two releases in the past ... has been quite a while. Subsequent releases fixed the problem.
