Does anyone know how to diable app window snapping? I'm having diffculty resizing and moving the Photoshop app window (see link below). I'm not having this issue with my other Adobe apps. Is this a Windows or a Photoshop issue? Thoughts anyone?

Thank you, Bojan. I actually _checked_ "Show window contents while drawing" and this helps with resizing AND moving the app window around on my screen. Thanks again for your help!    Best,  - Joe

Found this thread:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-beta-discussions/cannot-move-main-application-window/td-p/14072792

among many others who are having this problem. It appears the latest beta release 25.1 solves the issue.

Yes, I've chosen to use the Beta version of Photoshop which now at least allows me to move the app window around the screen wherever I like, but there's still a resizing of the window issue.. it works irregularly and works sometimes when I resize the window while holding down the Ctrl key.

Same problem here! Any solutions would be appreciated.

The instructions for the "SNAP WINDOW SUPPORT" in ver 24.2 here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/workspace-basics.html

is not showing as an option for me using ver 25. But it looks likethe issue is related.

Hey, @Joseph_Podlesnik. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share screenshots & the system info of Photoshop from Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > Upload to Creative Cloud fileshttps://assets.adobe.com/files) and share the link with us.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried? To be sure this isn't Photoshop, go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

  • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • Press Windows + R & type this is the Run Window - %APPDATA%\Adobe
  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2023 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2023. old)

These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Hi Sameer:  I've uninstalled and reinstalled PS two (removing all files, preferences, etc) and I'm stil having this issue.
I even installed Photoshop Beta version .. but I will try your suggestion above. Thank you. Will know if it helps.
Thank you again.  - Joe
