Photoshop Appearance "Color Theme" not saving

Hi again, now I am facing another issue.

"Edit/Preferences/Interface..."

Under "Appearance", I change the "Color Theme" to the the lightest one available (the white one)

Hit OK, and go back to painting. Next close Photoshop.

When I re-open PS again, "Color Theme" did not save and reverts back to the darker theme.

This is new problem and I do not know why this has started.

Any hints?

ahoy, I have solved problem, and perhaps it will be helpful to others:

to ensure all workspaces/preferences are saved properly upon closing of PS, we must ensure that we go to "File/Exit" and close PS this way first. After PS has closed all documents and then closes altogether, preferences will be saved properly.

but - if PS is closed some other way (such as crash, or via CTRL+ALT+DELETE and close that way in task manager, or any other way), then preferences may not save properly and will revert back to old preferences next time you start up PS.
