Hi,
For some time now I have the bug visible at the video below when from time to time, randomly, my brush turn into a mouse cursor and then often (but not always) it loses pressure making it very annoying and sometimes impossible to draw, because it happens so often. How can I fix it, I tried everything I could find online? I work on Windows 10 (always up to date).
Try going to File > Generate > and make sure Image Assets is unchecked. Also go to Preferences > Plugins and uncheck Enable Generator there as well. Worked for me!

Did you check the double-click distance?
Are you using windows ink, or wintab?

In my case, Windows ink is disabled and the pen is touching the tablet while the cursor blinks in and out.

So far this is working for me. In my case, Image Assets was already unchecked, so this had no efffect, but unchecking Enable Generator has improved the situation.
I am curious why this works and if this solution will affect other workflows.

I'm currently using PS 2021, and i already tried your tutorial but it didn't work well, it only worked for a couple of minutes and there it was again a mouse cursor, and I can't even draw when my brush randomly turned into mouse cursor, please send help asap or else i cant finish my thesis on time.

I see this happen if I'm using a brush and accidentally go off the canvas, the cursor often changes. Stay on the canvas if possible.

For some reason it seems to happen when the layers window is NOT visible, so my recommendation is to keep it visible, lol.

Moving the Layers menu to a second monitor also works.

I'm late to the party. For those who have this issue by default, it's most likely your PC being too slow for Photoshop's poor optimization. Reverting to older versions is likely to fix your problem.
For those who have this issue upon creating a layer mask, click on the burger menu in the layer panel, go to Panel Option, Thumbnail Content and select Entire Document.
