Hi I've downloaded some watercolor brushes to start a project. I'm selling digital prints and various ratios. I'm having an issue with lag because my document size is high. My thinking was I'd need to start at 300ppi at the largest canvas size I'm selling, then size down to stop pixelation.
Could I start at a lower doc size then convert the design to a smart object so I can increase the size to fit with the other ratios?

If you upsample a Smart Object that still means upsampling.
What are the current image pixel dimensions?
Have you tried turning off smoothing?

The largest doc size I need is 24x36 (7200x10800)
How do I turn off smoothing?
I've optimized the performance settings. I'm using my graphics card which is an AMD Radeon HD 7800 series

You can uncheck it in the Brush Settings Panel or set it to 0% in the Options Bar.

Thanks, smoothing was already set to 0%
Quite large, 2000px. I do get quicker response times when lowering the brush size but it's tiny on the large canvas
