Problem appeared after the latest updates. Since I pay for the product monthly, I expect a working software, without any repairs by myself.

Hi Simov,
We're sorry to hear about the fonts not getting recognized by Photoshop, this shouldn't be happening, let us help make this right.
Could you please let us know is it happening with all the fonts or only some specific fonts? Also, have you downloaded these fonts from somewhere?
Could you try resetting the type tool in Photoshop and let us know if it helps? Resetting Tool Options in Photoshop « Julieanne Kost's Blog

Sahil

I haven't tested all fonts, but several random fonts from the list. I have also tried some fonts that I've used in my former Photoshop projects. Every time pops up a note in finnish that is translated something like this: "Chosen font caused an error in the last function. If the problem doesn't solve, remove the font from use." I have not downloaded any fonts, they are all part of the operating system (Windows 10 64-bit) and maybe with Microsoft Office paggage.

Please if you can give us more information about your problem, sometimes the problem is not Photoshop, it can be the configuration or the format of the font.

The last picture where I have used text tool successfully was saved on 28th of May 2018. After that I've got one large update to my operating system (Windows 10 64-bit) and at least two updates of Photoshop. I have not downloaded any fonts, they are all part of the operating system and maybe with Microsoft Office paggage.

Thanks for answering, but there was no help. Funny thing though appeared when I was struggling with the problem. I opened an older .psd document where I had used text tool and two different fonts. I could edit texts and even open new text layers without any problems, but when I opened new photo in the same window, choosing text tool caused same error message.

So it seems that the problem is in the latest update. Earlier choosing text tool created automatically a new layer for the text, but now it doesn't do so.
