Photoshop CC 2020 adds duplicate/linked frames in video timeline

I am making a handrawn frame by frame animation in PS CC 2020 and it is the most recent version. When I created the file everything was going fine. Suddenly, after I'm done drawing on a frame and press the right arrow key to move on to the next frame, there is a duplicate of the frame I just finished on the next frame already. It is not blank like the next frames have always been before this sudden issue. I can't just erase the duplicate because whatever erasing I do to the duplicate also happens to the original I had just finished, so it's like they are linked. How do I get PS to stop making copies of the frame I just finished drawing? Why did this happen all of a sudden? I didn't press any new keys or shortcuts.

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photoshop forum so that proper help can be offered.
