I've been on the All Apps plan for about a year now although I primarily use Photoshop CC.
It's never given me any issues, until just recently- I start up the program normally, but within 10-30 seconds a crash report message ( like this one ) pops up.
I have looked at the data included in the crash report, but it doesnt seem to yield much info about why the crash happened.
After troubleshooting for hours, looking at forums and tutorials, clearing up unnecessary files from my PC (as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop to its latest version more than once), there's been no change in the problem. My brother has been helping me, and is far more adept with software related issues, but even he is at a loss.
ALTHOUGH we may have narrowed the issue down to whether the 'Use Graphics Processor' option in my preferences is checked or not:
Leaving it unchecked is the only thing that seems to keep Photoshop running, but without the OpenGL features it's very uncomfortable to work in.
I have done a clean install of my graphics driver (I'm using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti) but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.
These are some other specs about my PC, if it helps:
I am no expert with technical things, but I could really use a solution to this,,

Every time Windows does an update there is some risk of your video driver not working properly
Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter
•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

I've installed two older drivers from a few months back, but the problem persists (also the option to Use Graphics Processor no longer appears in my preferences while using the earlier versions,,)

Hi
Can you go to Photoshop's Help >System Info press Copy then paste the info here. It may help us to see what is leading to your issue

Hi
You've got dual GPU's on that system
Intel(R) HD Graphics 630
GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Take a look at sections 7 and 8 of the link I posted above

Hi, disabling the Intel Driver only resulted in the 'Use Graphics Processor' option to be greyed out, and my NVIDIA control panel was no longer accessible,,

Try updating the driver for the Intel GPU, your driver is dated glgpu[0].GLDriverDate="20161223

Updated the Intel Driver completely, the new date in the System Info reads glgpu[0].GLDriverDate="20181010
Photoshop continues to crash regardless

Any update on this? I am experiencing the same issues. None of the fixes that I see seem to work except for disabling the nvidia processor in preferences.

Hi
From that system info and your earlier post , it looks like you have two GPUs installed ( Intel and an NVidia). Look at sections 7 & 8 in the link Ged provided earlier
Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

Does anyone fixes this already? I have exactly the same problem on my laptop , and the same GPU GTX 1050 Ti, two GPUs installed ( Intel and an NVidia).

I have the same issue here. Bought a brand new Dell XPS 9570 and two Adobe programs keep crashing minutes after I start them(Photoshop and Premiere). Nothing seems to be helping and the situation starting to look ridiculous - brand new PC and legal software are unusable...

It's a copy/paste from another forum and the solution helped me:
Even though the active GPU was Nvidia, the fix was to upgrade the INTEL drivers. I know this sounds strange.
I was @ version 24.xxx and I had to upgrade to 25.xxx
However this is not straightforward : if you just download the new driver and launch exe, in my case, it refused to install because manufacturer drivers were installed (Dell). I had to :
- Download latest Intel driver from Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 630 (in my case, since I have HD 630)
- Unzip the exe in a folder using, for instance, 7zip
- go to device manager (Windows + X --> device manager)
- uninstall Intel drivers and click on "Delete driver files"
- DISCONNECT YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION
- In the device manager, right-click anywhere and choose "Scan for hardware changes"
- Wait for the Intel display adapter to appear
- Right click and choose "Update driver". If it is disabled, click on Properties then Driver then Update driver.
- Choose "Have disk" and locate the place where you extracted the Intel driver
- Let it install
Hopefully once this is done, your problems are over. They were for me, even though I was using the Nvidia driver!!!! (go figure)

Thank you!
This is helpful! My Photoshop is becoming normal now!
By the way , the lastest driver version 25.XXX looks like has some issues with the "Graphics Command Center" ? After I install the driver, I can't open the Graphics Command Center anymore....

same problem. I also have the Dell 9570. Photoshop only works if in the nvidia control panel I choose the intel graphics 630 for photoshop. I tried to update the intel 630 drivers manually but the problem is not solved for me (the nvdia drivers are also updated). does anyone know what can be done?

Hello, i have a similar problem.
I have ASUS ROG 551 with Nvidia 760M, is now in repair because I could not say what happened to it. I've done all the steps that were recommended by Adobe's help. What turned out to be physically the equipment is working, however, there are errors on the motherboard. I suppose it is generated by malfunctioning Photoshop.
Is the problem only for Intel 630 cards? I am asking becouse i have Intel 4200 or 4600 i do not actually recall.

Same kind of issues with the dual video cards. Photoshop climbed to 98 percent of CPU resources.
The GeForce RTX 2060 NVIDIA was apparently clashing with the Intel UHD Graphics 630 that came with the I7-9700 CPU.
Two displays.
One was connected to the Intel and the other to the NVIDIA.
Each card could see only one monitor though both functioned in two monitor set-up. This must have forced the Photoshop issues.
SOLUTION: Plug both monitors into the paired slots of the NVIDIA on the back panel, one into the HDMI slot and the other into the HDR cable. This bypasses the dual video card problem. Fortunately one of my monitors has the HDR connection.
ANOTHER IDEA: A Thunderbolt docking station could also provide the necessary connections to pair both monitors with a single video card.
BOTTOM LINE: Exasperating, but typical of emerging technology.

I might have a fix.
I had the same issue, and after wiping the computer, reinstalling everything, etc. it still persisted.
The issue seemed to be related to the GPU and the RAM. I 'reduced' the RAM allocation, and played around with different amounts and a much, much lower value worked for me. I have 128GB and PS is now happy using about 10% of that. No more crashes.
