Photoshop changed Lens info.

I found that Photoshop changed the lens information. It is normal?

Did you copy into another file?

You have to give more info about the origin and history of these two files.

1st is the camera data provided by Adobe Bridge 2022. 2nd is the camera data of the same raw file  provided by Photoshop 2022

Is it a raw file? did you apply any settings when opening from bridge (in particular, the optical distortion correction profile)?

They are not the same file. One file is _DSC2484.arw and the other is _DSC2484-1.psd

So again, what is the origin of these two files?

Adobe Bridge open the file as ARW and when you send from Bridge to Photoshop it becomes PSD .

When you open a raw file from Bridge into Photoshop it does not become a PSD file. The PSD filetype is only set on saving and choosing the PSD file type from Photoshop. So they are not the same file.

One thing you might do for testing purposes is this:

• Select the ARW file in Bridge and confirm the Lens information.
• Open the ARW file in Adobe Camera Raw.
• From ACR, open the file in Photoshop. What is the format? What is the Lens information?
• In Photoshop, save the file as a PSD. What is the Lens information now?

Take screen shots of each step along the way and share them if you still see a problem.

Sony apparently puts lens data in two different namespaces in the EXIF. Not sure if they match in his files.

Nope it's not normal @Hany Hossam ,

The software does not change info. It reflects the info of the active doc.

A 90mm lens can't be set to 600mm so obviously that is incorrect. Lens data is found in a lookup table or set in the metadata. Try taking a look at File Info->Raw Data.

Below is the XMP data from a photo taken with a Sony a6000 (straight out of camera) and you'll see lens data in two places.

Thank you all. I solved the problem. It was because of the Metadata Template in Adobe Photoshop

Why you don't want to beleive that it is the same file ???? I add unmbers to the file name because sometimes I do many edititing for the same photo ... It was the saved Metadata Template in Adobe Photoshop and I solved it ... By happy :-))

If you have a very powerful magnifying glass, it says that I wrote that before the OP came back with the metadata template explanation. That made perfect sense and rendered my post moot.
